rita pescatore, Director of operations
Rita was born and raised in the Bronx in New York City during the 70’s and comes from an Italian and Puerto Rican background.
She started cooking in the 90’s, and worked her way through the ranks of NYC kitchens, B.R. Guest Hospitality, and Drew Nierpornt restaurants as a sous chef. She opened her first restaurant with a group of friends at 25 yrs old at a Restaurant with Supper Club concept on the Lower East Side called Torch. It was her first executive chef/ownership role.
After that, she got involved in opening F&B operations in boutique hotels and quickly turned over to FOH operations of Director of F&B role. She has worked in various corporate hotels including Hilton, Marriott, and Intercontinental Hotels throughout the country running their F&B programs.
After doing hotels for the last 12 years, Rita decided to go back to restaurants and began working for celebrity chef Jonathan Waxman at the 1 hotel in Central Park as Director of Operations. She started working for the Marcus Samuelsson Group in 2017.
Rita loves food and still loves to cook. She is a wine enthusiast and loves to travel to get to know the cultures of different cities and countries. She recently got married in October to her beautiful wife Carla and they reside in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn with their dog Petunia.
