Marcus National Harbor

At Marcus at MGM National Harbor, chef Samuelsson opened his first restaurant in the DMV area. Celebrating classic American dishes with his signature twist and inspired by local Maryland ingredients and traditions, Marcus will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as live music as part of the new $1.4 billion resort and casino. Designed by Parts & Labor Design, the restaurant's aesthetic focuses on a rediscovery of American craft rooted in African American influences, which is felt vividly through dynamic details including geometric floor tiles, tribal tapestries, found objects, and custom fixtures. Invoking a French bistro, the space includes an 84-seat main dining room with wooden coffered ceilings and a deep amber color palette as well as an open kitchen and raw bar. The space additionally includes a 21-seat bar with brasserie style lighting fixtures, walls adorned with colonial millwork, an eye-catching spindle installation and a stone bar top.
