David tetens, Chief Operating Officer
A 25-year hospitality veteran, David has both Fortune 500 leadership experience, as well as experience as an owner, operator, and consultant, in entrepreneurial F&B ventures.
Prior to joining the Marcus Samuelsson Group as C.O.O., David led all Food and Beverage operations for Starwood Hotels, across the Starwood portfolio of 7 full-service brands, including 430+ owned, managed and franchise properties.
In the years prior to joining Starwood, he served as a consultant, and was an owner operator in several NYC venues. David was also the COO of the Lotus Group from 2000-2005, and headed up 360 Hospitality, an F&B financial consulting group.
David earned an Executive MBA, a BA in English, and a BS in Economics all from Rutgers University, where he was a Division 1 scholar athlete.
David lives in Brooklyn, with his wife Wendy, daughter Vera, and son Bruno.
